ABSTRACT :
Various fungicides were tested as pre-harvest sprays for their control of blossom blight, soft brown rot (Nattrassia mangiferae), and anthracnose (Colletotrichum gloeosporioides [Glomerella cingulata]) in mango. Trials were performed in the Letsitele Valley, South Africa. Capitan(R) (flusilazol) sprayed c. 2 weeks before flowering significantly reduced the incidence of blossom blight. Monthly applications of Demildex(R) (copper oxychloride) or Punch C(R) (flusilazol+carbendazim) after flowering significantly reduced the incidence of soft brown rot. Octave(R) (prochloraz manganese chloride) did not reduce the incidence of anthracnose significantly.
