Agronomic aspects of the cultivation of araza (Eugenia stipitata McVaugh). A promising fruit tree of the Colombian Amazon.

ABSTRACT :

 

With a view to its potential development as an alternative to illicit crops, the agronomic management (propagation, establishment, cultural methods, harvesting and postharvest handling) of E. stipitata in the Amazonian basin region of Colombia is discussed, with reference to research carried out on the crop in the Amazonian areas of Brazil and Peru.
