บทคัดย่อ

Studies on the mechanized harvest of peanuts in the Bajio region.

 

A feasibility study into mechanizing "criollo" peanut (Arachis Hypogaea) harvesting in the state of Guanajuato, Mexico, to increase profitability, was carried out. Harvesting of the "criollo" peanut is performed manually because of the characteristics of the plant and the clay soil in which it is cultivated. This represents 50% of the production cost. The physical properties and harvesting conditions of the variety were studied. Analysis of conventional machinery and harvesting methods is given. Some conceptual devices adapted to the agricultural tractor to collect and separate peanuts from the soil were developed as part of a peanut harvester prototype design.
