บทคัดย่อ

The influence of nitrogen on keeping quality of pot plants.

 

Experiments with rose hybrid Ruby and New Guinea Impatiens cv. Veronika showed that premature bud drop under interior conditions was advanced by an increasing supply of N. Poinsettia cv. Fireking reacted by dropping cyathias and leaves prematurely when the N supply increased. Results of experiments to study the effects of increasing the conductivity of the medium using potassium salts showed that plant responses to increasing N were specific to N and that plants tolerated a high K rate better. N in the form of ammonium had a greater effect on leaf and bud drop and root system damage than nitrate-N.
