บทคัดย่อ

Litchi processing and storage in Reunion.

 

Postharvest shell wilt, browning and fungal development lower the quality of litchi fruits and make it difficult to market the fruits. The results of studies undertaken on Reunion to rationalize packaging procedures to improve the market quality of harvested fruits and reduce high labour costs are presented. They specifically focus on: improving litchi packaging procedures; various aspects concerning postharvest sulfur dioxide treatment of litchis; analysis of different parameters that could extend litchi shelf life; and post-treatment fruit colouring techniques.
