บทคัดย่อ

Effect of fungicidal seed treatment on the incidence of loose smut of wheat.

 

A field trial was undertaken during 1987-88 at Akola, Maharashtra, India, to evaluate the ability of Vitavax [carboxin], Bavistin [carbendazim], Plantavax [oxycarboxin] and Benlate [benomyl] to control loose smut of wheat caused by Ustilago nuda var. tritici [U. segetum var. nuda]. Seed of the susceptible variety Vijay were used. All the fungicide seed treatments were gave significant control of the disease compared with the control. Vitavax was the most efficient followed by Plantzax, Benlate and Bavistin.
