บทคัดย่อ

Vegetables to Asia.

 

The paper reports on the Vegetables to Asia project, the objective of which is to expand vegetable production throughout New South Wales, Australia, with the aim of servicing the Asian market. The project aims to capture new growers and support current growers capable of producing the volume of crop required to supply the Asian market. The steps required to achieve these objectives are documented, including: mapping of land suitable in NSW for large scale vegetable production; development of harvesting technology and postharvest treatment required to meet market demands; and research and development to achieve yield, flavour and types suited to demand.
