The 11 lines and 4 hybrids studied differed in incidence of fungal pathogens on the seed harvested at physiological maturity and 23 d later. Data on percentage infection with Fusarium moniliforme [Gibberella fujikuroi], F. semitectum [F. pallidoroseum] and species of Phoma and Alternaria at both harvests in all the types studied are tabulated. G. fujikuroi infection was greater at the second harvest. The most and least infected with F. pallidoroseum were the line CMSXS180R and the hybrid CMSXS368, respectively. The lines and hybrids most and least infected with Phoma sp. and Alternaria sp. are indicated. A genotype x harvest date interaction was found for Alternaria infection.
