Reformation of the grain storage and processing sector.

 

An account is given of the reformation and reorganization of the grain storage and processing sector in Russia, following the liberalization of the Russian grain market in 1993. The important role of VNIIZ (All-Russian Research Institute for Grain & Grain Products) is explained, and the spheres of responsibility and interrelationships of the other various institutes, associations and enterprises are outlined.
