บทคัดย่อ

Non-destructive tests to evaluate postharvest maturity in avocado.

 

Computer-controlled impact measurements were compared with traditional pulp firmness penetrometer readings for the determination of avocado cv. Hass fruit maturity. The non-destructive technique gave satisfactory results. Packing the fruits in bags containing an ethylene absorbent (Green Keeper; 9.5 g/kg of fruit) retarded fruit maturation.
