Crop science of Proteaceae in southern Africa: progress and challenges.

 

Developments in the cultivation of Proteaceae, mostly for cut flowers bud also as pot plants, are discussed in the following sections: propagation; establishment; training and pruning; irrigation; soil requirements and fertilization; harvesting; postharvest handling; flowering; and pot plants.
