Impiego dell'imazalil nei confronti di Monilinia laxa su nettarine in post-raccolta.

The effectiveness of postharvest treatments of imazalil against brown rot, caused by M. laxa, was tested in artificially-inoculated nectarines. Brown rot was effectively reduced by a postharvest treatment at a dose of 48 micro g/g. Imazalil treatment was effective at a rate 5 times lower than triforine. The type of wound produced (needle or cut) influenced the rate of infection, as well as, to an even greater degree, the possibility of controlling the infection. Needle-induced wounds were more difficult to control, although imazalil significantly reduced the infections produced, compared with the control group, even at the lowest concn (1 micro g/g).
