บทคัดย่อ
Postharvest ripening of tomato (cv. Naebyungjangsu and the mutant, rin) fruits was investigated for fruits harvested at the mature, green stage and for fruits detached from plants at each ripening stage. Postharvest ripening of normal fruits followed the same pattern of ripening (colour development, respiration and ethylene production) as fruits on the plant. Rin fruits had low rates of ethylene production and exhibited characteristics of non-climacteric fruits throughout development.
