บทคัดย่อ

Adoption of new methods in controlled atmosphere storage.

The importance of apple quality standards in relation to Australia's world market competitiveness, the identification of quality standards at harvest, the attainment of consistent quality (involving constant monitoring of crop load, tree size, light interception and nutrition), the identification of standards relating to market durability and storage - controlled atmosphere storage in particular (the suitability of various systems for different cultivars and some automated control techniques are mentioned) - and economy of scale in relation to technological input are discussed.
