บทคัดย่อ

Optimum harvest date of Jonagold in central Poland.

Fruit quality parameters of apple cv. Jonagold were determined in 1992 and 1993 in order to predict optimum harvest date (OHD). Apples were harvested 4 times at weekly intervals in 3 orchards and were stored at 3 deg C under normal atmosphere conditions for 5 months. The Streif index, F/RS (firmness/(soluble solids x starch conversion stage)), was determined to establish OHD. Induced ethylene concentration (IEC) was also determined. Results obtained did not allow precise establishment of OHD in Jonagold. However, comparison of F/RS and IEC allowed prediction of the latest acceptable harvest date for storage.
