บทคัดย่อ

Influence of ecological conditions on optimum harvest date in Slovenia.

Fruits of the apple cultivars Jonagold, Gloster and Granny Smith were harvested on different dates to investigate the influence of ecological conditions during the growing period on optimum harvest date. Maturity index was determined by Streif's maturity index (firmness/(soluble solids content x starch conversion stage)). The maturity index value at which Jonagold needed to be harvested was relatively low because of the less intensive red colour of the skin than Gloster. Relatively early harvest of Gloster was necessary to avoid water core and relatively late harvest of Granny Smith was necessary to reduce the incidence of scald.
