บทคัดย่อ

Occurrence of fungi and bacteria associated with diseases of ornamental plants in Lavras - MG.

A total of 71 diseases caused by fungi and bacteria was found on 32 genera of ornamental plants in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Fungi, mainly from the Deuteromycotina and Basidiomycotina subdivisions, were the major cause of diseases (93.4%). The most common symptom was leaf spot (59.0%), followed by tissue rot (16.8%) and wilt (10.8%). The major aetiological agents associated with local injuries were Alternaria sp. (15.5%), Colletotrichum sp. (15.5%), Fusarium sp. (10.4%) and Cercospora sp (6.5%). Botrytis sp. was the main fungus associated with flower rot in greenhouse and postharvest conditions.
