In studies conducted in 1989 and 1990, limes were treated with GA (50 or 100 ppm) or NAA (50 or 100 ppm) and placed in polyethylene bags, or untreated fruits were placed in open or closed polyethylene bags, or not bagged, then stored for up to 30 days. Growth regulator treatments, combined with polyethylene packaging resulted in a higher percentage marketable fruits after 20 and 30 days of storage, compared with controls. Data are tabulated on percentage fruit retention, juice percentage, titratable acidity, ascorbic acid content and TSS for fruits subjected to the different treatments.
