Integrated research in rose improvement - a breeder's experience.

Rose breeding research carried out at Selection Meilland is briefly outlined, including research on sexual reproduction (from pollination to seed germination), postharvest physiology (the onset of senescence), and in vitro techniques such as somatic embryogenesis or early embryo rescue.
