บทคัดย่อ

On farm research 'Integrated control of storage diseases in seed potatoes'.

During 1992-94 in the Netherlands, 100 seed potato farms were involved in the research on the integrated control of the storage diseases Fusarium dry rot, gangrene (Phoma [P. exigua]) and silver scurf [Helminthosporium solani]. The results showed that dry rot and gangrene occurred at a small number of farms. Silver surf was effectively controlled by rapid drying immediately after harvest. The application of chemical treatment after size grading is recommended to prevent silver scurf on potato destined for long distance transport to warm countries.
