บทคัดย่อ

Studies on the ecology and control of Phytophthora fruit rot of apple caused by Phytophthora syringae (Kleb.) Kleb.

During 1989-90 and 1990-91, Aomori Prefecture, Honshu, Japan, suffered unusual outbreaks of fruit rot disease with severe losses in stored apples. Phytophthora sp. was isolated from rotted fruits. The fungus was distinct from P. cactorum and P. cambivora. The results of a series of studies on the aetiology, epidemiology and control of the disease are discussed.
