บทคัดย่อ

Mycoflora analysis of freshly harvested samples of paddy and maize grains at Gorakhpur.

Freshly harvested samples of 4 varieties of rice (Jaya, Mansoori, Saket-4 and Sarju52) and 2 varieties of maize (White Shankar and Red Jaunpuri) collected from markets in Uttar Pradesh, India, were analysed for their associated mycoflora using an agar plate technique. In all, 17 species of fungi were associated either externally or internally or both with different varieties of rice and maize grains. Two species, Aspergillus flavus and A. niger were found externally on all the varieties of rice and maize grains. Higher numbers of fungi (11) were found on rice than on maize grains (7).
