The concn of psoralens in celery, variety Tender Crisp, harvested 120 days after planting, was 12 micro g/g FW, compared with 18 micro g/g FW in celery harvested 150 days after planting. After 1 month of storage at 2 deg C, concn of psoralens in the 120- and 150-day-old celery were 82 and 118 micro g/g FW, respectively. Concn of psoralens in the 120- and 150-day-old celery inoculated with B. cinerea, after 1 month of storage at 2 deg , were 266 and 294 micro g/g FW, respectively.
