บทคัดย่อ

Reducing post-harvest losses of fresh pineapple in Mauritius.

Topics discussed include existing market outlets, factors affecting shelf life, techniques used and associated losses in handling, transport and packing, storage, and distribution and pest and disease problems. Measures which can be adopted at the various postharvest stages are examined and suitable development programmes considered in order to ensure that full advantage can be taken of future opportunities for exporting fresh pineapples from Mauritius.
