In greenhouse trials in western Almeria, Spain, courgette (cv. Storr's Green) plants were supplied on alternate weeks with PMS5x applied via fertigation (3 litres/ha), with Codifol-K (2 litres/ha) or Nutricale (4 litres/ha) applied via foliar application on alternate weeks, followed by application of Codifol-K weekly. Compared with the traditional fertilizer regime [unspecified], the above system increased fruiting and early production, reduced yields of non-marketable fruits, increased Fe and Mg assimilation, reduced percentage weight loss postharvest, increased fruit firmness, reduced exudation from fruits during 24 h after harvest and had no effect of fruit sugar content.
