บทคัดย่อ

Modified atmosphere packaging: a future outlook.

Recent and future perceived developments in modified atmosphere (MA) packaging are outlined. The emphasis is likely to be on enhancing quality retention, achieved through the implementation of integrated control of temperature and sanitation, and the use of active packaging, particularly packaging with sensitivity to temperature, O2, CO2 and RH. It is suggested that noble gases will be used, and that packaging will become both a distribution and a serving implement.
