The results are presented of different trials with Callistephus chinensis, tomato, tobacco, sugarbeet, celery, carrot, lupin, Phaseolus vulgaris, cabbage, Viola wittrockiana, broccoli, lettuce, Brussels sprouts, cucumber, dill, onion, red beet, leek, pea and mung bean on the effects on seed germination of cultivar, environmental factors, architecture of the inflorescence, methods of cultivation, sowing date, plant density, the use of fertilizers, irrigation, the use of herbicides and plant growth regulators, pollination, disease and pest control, the maturity stage and weather at harvest, the length of time and environmental conditions between harvest, drying and threshing, seed humidity at the threshing stage and postharvest processing, temperature at seed drying, methods and machines used for threshing and other processing methods.
