บทคัดย่อ

Modified/controlled atmospheres for papaya (Carica papaya L.).

Research on modified atmosphere (MA) and controlled atmosphere (CA) storage of pawpaws is reviewed. No commercial use for MA or CA storage is reported at present. The optimum atmosphere composition is not yet fully defined but is approximately 2-5% O2 and 5-8% CO2. It is not yet known whether there are potential applications of CA or MA for pawpaws and further studies are needed to establish beneficial applications and adequate atmospheres.
