บทคัดย่อ

Effect of 6-BA on physiological response of cut chrysanthemum during vase periods.

The effects of pretreatment (pulse solution) or treatment in the vase water with 6-benzyladenine (6-BA) at 0, 1, 5 or 10 mg/litre on water status, soluble protein levels and vase-life of cut chrysanthemum cv. Sijihuang flowers were studied. Pretreatment with 6-BA at 1 mg/litre resulted in a longer vase-life and better flower qualities than treatment with 6-BA in the vase water at the same concentration. The roles of 6-BA in improving water status and delaying senescence of cut chrysanthemums are discussed.
