Fusarium attack - the greatest cause of damage arises in the shed. Actively prevent with plant cultural measures.

The toxins produced in maize in central Europe by c. 12 species of Fusarium are listed and the damage caused by these agents in stems and cobs is illustrated in colour. The relationship between incidence in the field and the silo is discussed, together with cultural measures for prevention of infection.
