Postharvest calcium infiltration of apple fruits - a literature review.

An overview is given of postharvest methods for increasing the calcium content of apple fruits and the effects of postharvest calcium infiltration on fruit quality and disorders during storage. Problems associated with achieving the optimum fruit calcium concentration by postharvest infiltration are also discussed.
