Durian fruits harvested from Durio graveolens and D. kutejensis were examined after storage under humid conditions for causes of postharvest fungal rots. Colletotrichum gloeosporioides [Glomerella cingulata], Cylindrocladium scoparium, Geotrichum candidum, Gliocephalotrichum bulbilium and Lasiodiplodia theobromae [Botryodiplodia theobromae] were isolated consistently from affected fruits with B. theobromae being the predominant fungal pathogen. Other fungi isolated were Aspergillus niger, Aspergillus spp., Candida sp., Fusarium equiseti and Penicillium sp. These were considered as either weak pathogens or secondary invaders.
