บทคัดย่อ

Mechanisms of resistance of fruits and vegetables to postharvest diseases.

Mechanisms of resistance in fruits and vegetables to postharvest diseases are discussed. These include inhibition of appressoria formation, germination and penetration, inhibition of fungal penetration and colonisation, fungal restriction by host barriers and preformed compounds, modulation of preformed resistance by pathogens, inhibition of pathogenicity by constitutive barriers and inducible mechanisms of resistance.
