The problems of fruit production in Wu county and strategies for solving them.

An overview is given of the present situation and problems with fruit production in Wu county (Jiangsu, China). Strategies for solving the problems are proposed, including appropriate cultivar selection and postharvest storage methods, and establishment of an extension network.
