บทคัดย่อ

The effect of foliar application of Atonik on the technological quality and storage period of sugarbeet.

In 1996 and 1997 the effects of the foliar stimulant Atonik on the yield, quality, sugar content and storability of sugarbeet were assessed at 2 locations near Zatec sugar factory in the Czech Republic. The product, based on easily absorbed aromatic nitrogen compounds (sodium 2- and 4-nitrophenolates and sodium nitroguaiacolate), was applied as a foliar spray at the recommended dose of 600 ml/ha. Two two-hectare plots of control and experimental sugarbeet (German variety KW DUCA) were precision-sown (160 x 450 mm centres) and, apart from the Atonik, treated only with herbicides. Results of fresh and stored beet analyses are tabulated with indication of daily losses of weight, sugar content and recoverable sugar.
