บทคัดย่อ
The paper examines the aspects of standardization and marketing of fruit and vegetables in the Black Sea region and Turkey. Standardization is important due to high competition in terms of quality demanded for consumption. Postharvest losses account for 15-30% of fruit and vegetable production in Turkey. Developments include the introduction of new varieties, better packaging for durability, improvements in transport. Differences in product quality with the introduction of standardization are shown. It is suggested that standardization of the varieties suitable for export markets, local facilities for packaging and storage to reduce the level of postharvest losses will improve the quality of marketed fresh fruit and vegetables.
