บทคัดย่อ

Current mango research initiatives of the postharvest unit.

This paper gives an overview of the research activities conducted by the Postharvest Unit, Research Division, Ministry of Agriculture, Land and Marine Resources on Julie mangoes obtained from the orchards at Marper and Central Experiment Stations over the past 3 years. Investigations undertaken included studies on the incidence and severity of disorders of fruit obtained from both orchard locations; hot water dip treatment as a means of anthracnose control in the postharvest period; the effect of harvest maturity on fruit quality and postharvest behaviour; and a comparison of fruit quality and postharvest behaviour of early and late season fruits. Preliminary results obtained on aspects of the first 2 activities are discussed.
