บทคัดย่อ

Pedigrees of some tomato varieties grown in Pacific island countries.

This leaflet documents the pedigrees of tomato varieties selected after variety trials in the region. Most of the examples are varieties developed in the public sector, because of the availability of pedigree information. Several come from the Asian Vegetable Research and Development Center in Taiwan which maintains one of the largest tomato germplasm collections in the world. The pedigrees show how specific traits from different parental lines have been deliberately brought together in new varieties to overcome several important production and postharvest problems.
