Kiwifruits (cv. Hayward) harvested in Bursa, Turkey, in 1994 and 1995 were stored at 0 plus or minus 0.5 deg C and 90-95% RH in 3:3, 3:5, 5:2 or 5:5 O2:CO2 for 180 days and subsequently held at 20 plus or minus 3 deg C and 60 plus or minus 5% RH for 30 days to determine shelf life. The results indicated the fruits could be stored for 6 months in 5:5 or 5:2 O2:CO2, but the shelf life of these fruits was limited to 15 days.
