บทคัดย่อ

Control measures.

 

The control of bitter pit in apples grown in South Africa is discussed with reference to cultural and nutritional practices, including calcium sprays applied to developing fruits, choice of calcium carrier, wetting agents and disadvantages of calcium sprays. Postharvest treatment of fruits with calcium (dipping in CaCl2 or Ca(NO3)2) is briefly addressed.
