Effect of diurnal temperature alternations on morphology in horticultural crops under protection.

 

In this review of diurnal temperature changes and their effects on protected horticultural crops, differences between day and night temperatures and short-term temperature treatments were the main subjects covered. These treatments were considered in relation to growth, the effects of gibberellins, rhizome development and postharvest effects. The practical application of these managements to horticultural crops was also discussed.
