Teldor [fenhexamid] will be launched on the Danish market in year 2000 for strawberry, black- and red currant as well as cherry crops. The product offers a remarkably efficient protection against grey mould (Botrytis cinerea) and blossom wilt (Monilia laxa) resulting in considerable yield increases. Furthermore, trials have demonstrated that application of Teldor during flowering can postpone postharvest Botrytis infections on strawberries and black currant. Teldor acts as a contact fungicide and should be used protectively. Bayer A/S recommends an anti-resistance strategy when treating the crop for a number of times against the same disease. The strategy involves spraying alternately with another efficient fungicide having a different mode of action.
