บทคัดย่อ

Diagnosis of postharvest handling of chayote (Sechium edule Sw) in Costa Rica: I. Field and plant evaluations.

S. edule fruits harvested from 4 locations in Cartago Province, Costa Rica, were analysed monthly from May 1996 to April 1997. Fungal and genetic disorders accounted for the largest proportion of rejected fruits. Packing plant operations were highly variable and not effective against postharvest diseases.
