บทคัดย่อ

Methods for prolonging vase life of cutflowers - a review.

Research work on methods for prolonging vase life of major cut flowers is reviewed. Topics covered include breeding for improved cut flowers, harvesting factors and postharvest techniques including conditioning, precooling, impregnation, pulsing, bud opening, vase solutions, storage, gamma irradiation and control of vase microbes which influence the postharvest life and quality of cut flowers.
