บทคัดย่อ

Effect of low-temperature hardening on postharvest storage of litchi fruit.

In experiments with litchi (cv. Huaizhi) fruits, a low temperature hardening treatment (5 days at 5 deg C) prior to storage for 40 days at 1 deg C reduced the respiration rate during the latter part of storage, delayed increases in cell membrane permeability, browning and organic acid and ascorbic acid concentrations, reduced the concentration of peroxides in the peel, and extended the shelf life of fruits after removal from cold storage.
