Although many modern enterprises have been established especially for exporting in recent years, the citrus sector in Cukurova, Turkey, still has a lot of quality problems, such as: obtaining adequate quantity and higher standards of raw materials, employing experienced harvesting and packing workers, storage conditions and transportation efficiency. The aim of this study was to determine the effectiveness of managing the quality chain in the citrus fruits industry. It is observed that firms have adopted marketing and extended external market opportunities in general. On the other hand, the inadequate management activities in terms of quality and productivity, particularly in the case of harvesting, packing, storage, loading and transportation, are noticeable.
