บทคัดย่อ

Pumpkin fruit rot in North Carolina caused by Phytophthora nicotianae.

In 1999, during an evaluation of pumpkin fruit for susceptibility to naturally occurring postharvest diseases, a soft rot of unknown etiology was noted. The fungus responsible was identified as Phytophthora nicotianae. This is the first report of P. nicotianae causing fruit rot of pumpkins in North Carolina.
