บทคัดย่อ

Effect of MH and curing on storage of kharif onion (Allium cepa L.).

Maleic hydrazide (MH) was applied as a pre-harvest foliage spray or a postharvest dip for 5 minutes on onion cv. N-53 bulbs cut with 2.5-cm necks. Bulbs were stored under ambient conditions for 46 days. The observations suggest that foliar sprays of 3000 ppm maleic hydrazide 15 days before harvest in combination with 4 days of curing proved to be most effective for controlling sprouting, rotting and physiological loss in weight during storage.
