Influence of modified atmosphere and CaCl2 about the quality in postharvest of tangor 'Murcote'.

The tangor 'Murcote' has been shown as cultivate later among the main citric plants for the table fruit, which is commercially planted today in Brazil. These fruits possess pleasant flavor to the Brazilian consumers and the coloration of its pulp is excellent (intense orange), can be found in the market until in the beginning of the summer and for this reason it's highly valorized. The present work had an objective to verify the influence of the application of CaCl2 in postharvest and the use of packings about the quality of Tangor 'Murcote', during the storage, through analyses like: mass loss, juice profitable, pH, total titratable acidity, total soluble solids and vitamin C. Data was analyzed and it was concluded that an application of chloride of calcium m postharvest and use of packing in the storage contribute to a better quality of fruits.
