The changes in quality of stored globe artichokes cv. Criollo packed with different semipermeable films (HDPE and PVC) and stored at 5 deg C for 21 days and then at room temperature (RT) for 14 days were investigated. Gas composition inside the bags changed in both temperatures and types of films. At 5 deg C, oxygen levels inside the bags did not go below critical values, while anaerobic conditions were created inside HDPE bags at RT. Fruits wrapped with PVC and HDPE, and stored at 5 deg C maintained their colour, firmness and weight.
